Royal Obidos Golf Course

Royal Obidos Golf Course is situated in Western Portugal, and is located approximately 1 hour from Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport. It makes up part of the extremely popular Silver Coast Region of Portugal, which is known for its magnificent coastal setting close to the Atlantic Ocean & it possesses a cluster of some of the best Golf Courses in Portugal.

The 18 Hole Championship Course was opened in 2012 after it was designed by Steve Ballesteros. Golfers will find a mixture of both Parkland & Links style golf throughout, with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Atlantic Ocean & Obidos Lagoon.

At this golf holiday in Portugal...

The feature hole of the front nine is the 5th, an exciting 520m par 5, with a final approach into a large undulating green surrounded on three sides by water.

The second nine holes lie in the central and southern section of the development. Six of the holes meander between an intricate ecosystem of lakes interconnected by cascading streams. With the highlight of the back nine is the 12th, a 420m par 4, where the golfer has to negotiate both the drive and the second shot between and over two lakes and the curving stream.
