Quinta do Lago – South Golf Course

Layout:

The layout has not dramatically changed, they have done some clearing out of trees to let light through, scrub areas have gone and replaced with bark which looks better on the eye as well as catching the golf ball quicker. The lakes have been opened up so better views have been created while playing the holes. This makes everything look that little bit better. The greens are quick and true, the South course plays the longest of the three courses and you will be hitting long irons into many of the greens. The 15th is the stand-out hole, a long Par 3, where you will need a good shot to carry over water.

Hazards:

This course will challenge golfers of all abilities. Water hazards are present on numerous holes, meaning you’ll have to take care to avoid errant shots and focus on strategy and precision. The fairways are tree lined, adding an extra obstacle for any dodgy swings, so accuracy is required. Those looking for a challenge should add this course to the itinerary for their next golf holiday in Portugal.

Clubhouse Features:

The club house at Quinta do Lago overlooks the South course and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. After a satisfying round, golfers can enjoy a drink at the bar or a bite to eat in the restaurant. Additionally, there is a well-stocked pro shop and modern locker rooms. Relaxing here, post-round, will be an excellent way to finish the day at your next Algarve golf break.
