The four-star Isla Canela Golf is a fantastic hotel for golfers who are looking to enjoy a few rounds on the prestigious Isla Canela Golf Course. The hotel sits just next door to the course and boasts a prime location near to a range of bars, restaurants and a beach. The hotel boasts a great location as you get to enjoy the quietness of being set back from the hustle and bustle of coastal resorts, yet you are still within walking distance to a great selection of bars and restaurants. If you travel just 10 minutes in the car, you can reach the centre of Ayamonte where you can find even more bars and restaurants as well as some shops.

There are just 56 double guest rooms and two suites within the hotel. Each of the rooms is decorated beautifully with modern furnishings and boasts all of the essentials that you could want or need in order to make the most out of your stay. All of the rooms boast a private balcony from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the Isla Canela Golf Course.

All of the above hotels mean that you can enjoy a few rounds at Isla Canela. The golf course is situated on the outskirts of the town of Ayamonte and is a great golf course for those staying in the Huelva region but also in the Eastern Algarve as it is so close to the border.

The course is fairly straightforward, but it does offer players a range of different challenges meaning that it is playable by both amateurs and low handicappers. This is by no means a boring course; the architects of the course have made it so that the course blends effortlessly into its beautiful landscape with some very interesting hazards as the landscape was originally marshland.

Next up, we have Islantilla Golf Resort, this is the perfect base for your next golf break to the Costa de la Luz with a wonderful array of great golf courses just a short drive away from the hotel as well as a sandy beach a few minutes away. This resort is relatively new but has already established itself as one of the best golf resorts in the region and it isn’t hard to see why.

Whilst you are here, you will be situated just ten minutes’ walk away from the stretch of unspoilt coastline at the Playa Islantilla beach. Also, just a bit further on you can find Islantilla’s commercial centre where you can find a range of restaurants and tapas bars. The great thing about Islantilla is that despite it is a great tourist destination for golfers, it has still retained its authentic Spanish culture.

Each of the 204 guest rooms boasts classic Spanish décor and all of the amenities and facilities that you could need or want in order to fully enjoy your stay. Within the rooms, you can find complimentary Wi-Fi access, a minibar, a safe and a large outdoor private terrace.

During the day, whilst you are not exploring the brilliant local golf courses, you can relax around the large outdoor pool or head to the fully-equipped fitness centre or the hotel’s spa.
