Palmares is laid out on the side of a south-facing hill overlooking the Bay of Lagos.
The course enjoys a spectacular seaside location and includes 13 holes winding through groves of almond and fig trees, and 5 links holes. This is a course suitable for all abilities offering a mix of coastal and inland golf, making it one of the Algarve's most requested and loved courses. Very few first holes have such a fantastic view as the first here. There is a feel of a traditional English golf club at Palmares, and the course has a very reasonable green fee.
Stop Press - Palmares is currently undergoing big changes (addition of 9 holes and a hotel) and the course is closed until July 2010.
